So you’ve said “yes!” and have picked a date, and now it’s time to settle on a destination. You’ve searched Instagram and Pinterest, and googled #allthethings but nothing has stood out yet. You know you want to have a destination wedding, but Cabo and Cancun are overplayed. You’ve dreamed of having a more traditional intimate soiree, but with a bit of boho flair. Then, my friend, it’s time to think about Cyprus for your destination wedding.
Cyprus?! Never heard of it!
Well, it’s a small island in the mediterranean sea towards the coast of Turkey. And it is filled with rich culture, beautiful weather, and gorgeous architecture. I love Cyprus, although I may be a little biased since I live here. Every wedding I’ve filmed here in Cyprus has been like a Hollywood dream and that has a lot to do with the weather.
The Weather here in Cyprus was made for outdoor weddings.
If you’re a warm weather loving person, then you’re gonna love the weather here in Cyprus. Practically year round the weather is perfect for outdoor weddings. The exception being in the summer months when the weather can get up to 43C+ (that’s 110F ) and if you add that to the humidity, you might be cooking. So if you are planning your wedding here, shoot for sometime in the spring, fall or winter.
There are a Variety of Picturesque landscapes here in Cyprus.
There is a little bit of everything: coastal waters, mountains, architecture and more that make the perfect backdrop for your big day. A lot of couples love the fact that they can have their wedding and honeymoon all in one place. One of the most famous wedding destinations in Cyprus is at Amathus Beach Hotel in Limassol It’s a definite must see!
