Home » Matthew and Chrysia’s Olive Grove Wedding in Delikipos, Cyprus

I’m taking you along to an overly romantic Olive Grove Wedding in Delikipos for Matthew and Chrysia’s destination wedding in Cyprus. Held in late summer it was a night filled with grace and love, with moments rich in emotion and Cyprus’s unique flavor! As an Olive Grove wedding videographer, I feel that celebrations like this one make everyone fall in love with the country’s opulent personality and starry nights, perfect if you dream of a destination wedding in Cyprus bursting with character!

Cyprus is a very romantic place to get married because it is here that the Greek Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, was born. For this reason, it is often called the Island of Love and really is a stunning wedding destination. Take it from a wedding videographer in Cyprus, nothing is more tender than getting married at the place where the most ancient and famous representative of love was born.

Mathew and Chrysia met in Southampton while they were both researching their Ph.D. and their love blossomed after becoming best friends. It was four years later that Matthew proposed most romantically and unexpectedly while they were taking a morning stroll in Nature.

They immediately started planning their destination wedding in Cyprus, in the most romantic wedding venue on the island! Choosing Olive Grove in Delikipos for their wedding reception was a unanimous decision. The venue is a blank canvas that could be transformed into the ideal venue for a late summer celebration filled with charming details! Both the couple and their wedding planner, as well as their family, felt that Olive Grove was such a naturally beautiful location to celebrate their destination wedding in Cyprus!

Mathews and Chrysia’s wedding in Olive Grove Cyprus was highlighted by their beautiful style and wedding day details. Chrysia dazzled everyone in an elegant silk gown and diamond details, oozing sophistication and Mathew chose a debonair suit and beautiful elements. I loved how the wedding day was rich in traditional Cypriot customs from Chrysia’s side of the family, added so much warmth and value to the celebrations, and gave guests a touch of the hospitality the island is known for. Traditional wedding serenading, dancing, and singing during the bridal preparations are only a few of the ways locals celebrate a wedding and give it a special meaning.

Planning from far away didn’t stop Matthew and Chrysia from pulling out all the stops. Their wedding in Cyprus featured everything from lush florals to amazing guest experiences. The reception was impeccably planned and executed by RSVP Events and the night was explosive.

The venue is surrounded by the idyllic forest of Delikipos and is adorned with wooden decks, shallow pools of water, zen landscaping, and uniquely atmospheric lighting. I loved how focused the couple was in securing a breathtaking and memorable experience for their guests that were traveling from all over the world to be by their side. Even amidst a global pandemic, against all odds, Matthew and Chrysia were able to celebrate their wedding day exactly how they dreamed, family, friends, and loved ones by their side. By being a wedding videographer in Cyprus, I got to see many weddings get postponed or canceled due to the pandemic, and seeing these two celebrating and having their wedding day was such a beautiful feeling.

The reception was illuminated by fairy lights and the decoration was so eclectic and refined, it captured perfectly the essence of a summer wedding in Cyprus. Moreover, Pandora catering impressed the guests with local flavors and a wholesome collection of tastes that inspired everyone to celebrate the night and the warmth of togetherness and a shared celebratory meal infused with a Mediterranean flair!
